Meet the Founder
Hi, I'm Gucci
The face behind SauvignOM
Many people think there is a team behind SauvignOM, when in truth it is just me, wearing many hats. I design, plan, write, post, negotiate, and host because I care deeply about this little creation of mine: SauvignOM and the art of Winefulness.
PS: And no, I am not connected with the fancy fashion brand (though I would not mind if I were). Gucci is short for Gudrun, a nickname that stuck since kindergarten.Â

Tasting Note
Gucci is a harmonious blend of curiosity and positivity, aged with care. Notes of wanderlust, warmth, and playfulness shine through. She pairs well with travel, good friends, and a glass of wine at sunset. Best enjoyed in community, but equally comfortable solo on a mindful walk with her dog Rocky.
the story so far
Gucci grew up in Austria’s volcanic wine region, where wine was woven into life’s celebrations. Later, yoga and mindful living became her other passion. What began as a student practice grew into a lifelong journey.
Along the way she trained as a yoga teacher, breathwork facilitator, and health coach. She worked in wine, travelled widely, and studied tourism and events before settling in Marlborough, New Zealand, the heart of Sauvignon Blanc.
Here, among vines and mountains, her two worlds came together. She realised that wine and mindfulness are not opposites. Both invite us to slow down, engage our senses, and live with presence.
